Hope......for this room?

Today is Wednesday.......this is the third day in this craft or crap room depending on how you look at it.   I just took a break and made a new inspiration board.  As I was cleaning out I came across so many sentimental things.  The birdhouse with my children's picture they made for our placemats for their preschool graduation....the heart above Kaylyn cross-stiched for me for Christmas when she was about 10 years old.  I have been nesting now for a total of 18years.  I have so many layers in my craft room.  So many things for when I have time......I have to chuckle at that.  Well,  I have had the most time in a long six months since I have been unemployed.  Each day in my room I have been boxing up my nest.  Today, it  hurts.  What was I thinking?????   When would I have time to make everything I have bought supplies and why am I still having such trouble getting rid of it???  I tell myself you are going to be creative everyday at work.....just keep what you KNOW you will use.  Well, I bought it because I wanted to use all of it----and I only buy stuff I truly want and can't live without.....So,  ok just box it up and put it in the attic......doesn't it sound so easy?
In the scheme of things it is so minor.....I will start boxing it up now and stop whining.  I will even leave you with a blessing.  I found this while I was going through all of my papers of course.

May the sun shine, all day long,
Everything go right, and nothing go wrong.
May those you love bring love back to you,
and may all the wishes you wish come true!
May brooks and trees and singing hills
Join in the chorus too,
And every gentle wind that blows
Send happiness to you.     ---Irish Blessing

I love reading quotes that make me feel better--we have had rain everyday, which should make the task of this room easier.  But, I hope by week's end I can tell you it is all out of sight!

I know just how you feel. My art area is in my dining room. My hubby put in cabinets and counter tops on my one wall and is going to do the same on the other wall, hopefully soon. It's more of a multi purpose room, as our computer is in there as well. When it is finished the computer will go on the counter of the other set of cabinets. Anyway, I know how you feel about getting rid of things and holding onto things. I just went through some stuff last night. I'm so sick of the clutter yet I have a hard time parting with things especially arts and crafts items. I just keep plugging away. Keep on keeping on!

Boy, I sure can relate! I have also been unemployed for the past 6 months -- you always feel like you should be getting more done, and yet, you are waiting to see what else life has in store for you. Make sure you label all of those boxes so you can find your treasures when you are looking for them:)

Oh Geralyn, I think it's the rain that is getting you down. Keep plugging away at your room and don't get rid of anything...your new life with the kids starting college and a new fun job for you is about to start!
You are heading in a positive direction...take your goodies with you for the ride!!!!!!
