What's keeping me busy

So, every week since I ordered the Cinch I have called and asked if they shipped yet.  Last Friday the boxes finally arrived.  I have one to demo and use to make these great record cover scrapbooks and one to sell at the store.  They are priced at $99.99......and I know mine will pay for itself very quickly.
So, I have shared  how Glen is making bowls and clocks out of old record albums.  Well, one day I saw a big bag of the record album covers in the garbage and I was like..........noooo.   I rescued them wondering what I could do with them.  Then I saw the Cinch (it is made by the same people who make the crop a dile.......I forgot about it....heard about it like two years ago) started shipping.....I  ordered the two machines and a ton of spirals and got to work......first with the Springsteen cover (I am hugely impressed  and excited for his new release.....check out the video below).  Included in each book is 20 papers to go with the covers.....so thriller has some halloween paper and the drummer boy has blue and white christmas paper to go with the cover.  So, I am having a blast with the cinch.......it is a cinch!!!  I also will be included in a gift show in Long Branch in the beginning of December.....yay.....info to follow.  Today I put up the Christmas tree...within an hour a customer came in and liked one of my ornaments found a second and was disappointed because she needed four......no problem I make them so I have an order for four ornaments......the beauty of selling homemade!!!!!  And, that answers the question if it is too early to set Christmas!!!!!!! 

Gift Show at the Mix in Long Branch

On Saturday night only, there will be a cash bar. The Mix is located at 71 Brighton Avenue in Long Branch, NJ.   Geralyn Gray of "Greetings from Geralyn" at the Shoppes at the Arcade on Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park, NJ will be offering charming hand-made greeting cards, journals, and albums. Her journals and albums start at $14.99.   Nancy Frank, who works in mosaics, has recently developed a beautiful line of mosaic pendant necklaces which will be starting at $40.The pendants are gold and silver plated, and filled with a variety of tesserae including mirrored glass, millefiori, glass rods, beads, and smalti. They hang on silk cords and chains. Nancy started doing mosaics as a result of an accidental dish breaking episode many years ago, and is now a professional member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA). Artist Andrea Rosenfeld's exciting journey has been evolutionary and filled with exploration: from a University of Michigan, School of Art and Design student to Perry Ellis Portfolio Menswear Assistant Merchandiser, to Isaac Mizrahi Ltd. Director of Merchandising and Operations, and finally to creating and owning her own jewelry line. Rosenfeld is a member of the American Craft Council and her work has been featured recently in "WWD" magazine. We hope you can join us for this unique shopping opportunity.

Today my neighbor brought by these adorable tooth fairy pockets.  You put the tooth in the cute little pocket and the tooth fairy puts money in the big pocket.  I love these and they are a great buy for $7.50.  She makes them from her children's old jeans and she started this tradition so the pockets would be on the door as a reminder.....what a great idea!!!!!  I think they would be great as little purses or coupon holders.....I just love them!!!!
