Where Bloggers Create 2012

I am celebrating a room of my own....I started participating in Where Bloggers Create a few years ago.  I showed how you bloom where you are planted.  And, now we moved to a new house. We were in a house my husband built for 17 years.  When we looked at this house and were almost through the walk thru and my husband opened the last door and said "Well here's your room"......I knew

everything would  work out and this would be our new home.  I thought a lot about how to decorate my room, but when it came right down to it....I just unpacked boxes and covered the walls with the contents.  Just like Art.....there

was the thought.....but, most of all there were hours spent just putting everything in it's place.....it is still a work in progress.  I love it....It is my own little corner....my own little world.

“Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

What a wonderful space you have, full of texture, color, and apparently, MUSIC! My husband and I bought a home last October and have slowly been settling into it, though I too was thrilled when I realized I'd have my own crafty nook.

Thank you for sharing, and do drop by if you get the chance,

Michaele

Your space is SO cozy! Can I come play?? I love how it seems full of what inspires you. Glad you like my blue cart from IKEA. The moment I saw it, I knew I had to have it and drove to the one IKEA in this area that had it in stock!

We had the same luck, Geralyn! We moved this past fall and the condo we moved to had a storage room at the back that I knew we wouldn't use for storage. Before we even closed I was planning it out! Your space looks wonderful and it looks like you've added yourself to it beautifully. I love your chair and all the beautiful things you've hung on your wall. I'm sure I'll make some changes to mine over the next year, but for right now, I'm just so glad to have a room! Thanks for sharing your tour!

I love your space. It must have been very hard to leave the home your husband built. We are presently in our 17th year in the home my husband built.

Thank you for visiting my blog. You are right the windows are great light, but they definitely take up wall space.

Hey, I'm a Jersey girl too!
