Welcome to Green Wednesday

I love participating in these types of events.  It motivates me to change my header, so it is timely. I also love the thought of new readers and I look forward to coming over to their blogs and meeting them.  Welcome if you are a new reader and I look forward to visiting you, so please be sure to leave a comment.
I tried to remember how I last recycled something, and the first thing that came to mind was when I was organizing my art space.  I found a great typeset wooden box (I hate plastic!!!!!) and I thought oooh this would be great for all of my letters from K&Co.  After I took out all of the letters out of the boxes.......I couldn't throw the boxes away.   They are soo so pretty.  I left them in a pile for awhile.  One day while gathering inspiration.......I gave into an impulse to buy a pretty bird in a glittered box.  I put it in a spot where I would look at it everyday.  Days went by before I thought I could make a similar one with the boxes I have and supplies I have on hand.  A big part of my creating right now is trying not to buy any more supplies.  I do have to admit if I see a box of K&CO chipboard and I have a coupon I can't resist.  Did you see the new butterfly chipboard??????? It is pictured on top of the letter box in the first photo.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope I inspired you in some way to do something with something because it is just to pretty to throw away!

My goodness are you Green today! I love your St. Patrick's Day decorations in your festive holiday banner! It's a holiday we all seem to look over with Easter shadowing it most of the time.

Well even though I'm not a new reader...I just can't help checking in on you everyday...You are certainly an inspiration to me!

thanks for your lovely comment - today in east yorkshire, uk, it has been mixed weather - this morning it was quite sunny and reasonably mild for the time of yr, but then this aft it clouded over and got colder. i am soooo wishing for summer right now - i have had enough of the cold! mid 30s sounds lovely lol.

The banner looks great. I agree with you, no more new supplies. I don't do much St. Patty's decorating but I do try to make an Irish dinner that day. Love the storage and your ideas for the left over boxes. Pam

I agree, it's so hard not to purchase more and more supplies. I found you from The Vintage Journal. Love the little chirpy bird!

Love what you've done! I'm another one who is trying to use up what I have. My supplies are outnumbering my space! Trouble is, I love seeing the new stuff!

I've been saving my chipboard boxes as well. You've given me the push to actually make something from them. Yours turned out so well.
