Beautiful Blogging Party

Celebrating blogging????? I am in!!!!! Six months ago I was a reader, a passive blogger, the thought of leaving a comment was still a thought not an action.  In October the store I worked at  full time  for seven years closed.  We were told in August.  I knew I was going to have a hard time finding work.  But, I looked at it as an opportunity.  I wanted to start a blog, open an etsy shop and still have time to find a job.  After a month and seats were still open to Silver Bella I could attend that too.  I remember telling my husband and he was like  "oh yeah, sure and who is going to read this blog?"  I don't know I thought, but I have that build it and they will come attitude.  So, Party on!!!! Here I am.  It is a party everyday I look to see it there are any comments.....and I always pay a visit back to whoever leaves me a comment and I comment back.
To me blogging is like looking at life through rose colored glasses.  I can share the good things and only read the positive things I can relate, too.  Sure, there are causes out there, but blogging is my escape.  It is the chance to live the beautiful life I read about in Alexandra Stoddard's book.   The first line of her book reads:  "Making the things you do every day as beautiful and pleasurable as possible is a way to live a happy life.  Yet many of us don't seem to do this".  I might have lost some of you there.  You make think--life is not always rosy.  I am not saying it is, but our attitude and what we concentrate and focus on can help us achieve an overall feeling of happiness.   Blogging is a way to live a beautiful life and I am in it and not a wanna be anymore.   That is the achievement I am celebrating today.  I am so glad you joined me in this celebration.
In five posts I will be celebrating my 100th post.  Please, come back to leave a comment on my official Everything's Rosy post to enter or better yet start following me to enter.  I will leave you with my most favorite quote, also found in Alexandra Stoddard's book: Living a Beautiful Life.

To improve the golden moment of opportunity and catch the good that is within our reach is the great art of life.         Samuel Johnson

Thank you for the invitation to my very first blogging party. I almost didn't attend as my little design blog is so new and didn't have anything pretty to wear. My awesome son fixed that just before the sun came up and I squealed with delight to see what he "whipped up at the last minute." I was so happy about the party that it completely took my mind off of being so sick and I set out to write my welcome post and fell asleep with it open. I woke to find that I was going to be late to the party so I finished up and rushed over to Joy's and am so happy I decided to attend. Thank you for finding my original blog and leaving me such sweet comments filled with encouragement and inspiration to follow my dreams. I love your blog, your positive attitude and of course your beautiful creations.

It seems everybody is reluctant to start blogging. I know I was, and like me you and so many have found it a wonderful creative outlet and great place to meet lots of wonderful people.
Happy Party Day!

Your 100th post, how exciting. Mine is just around the corner, I have about 25 more to go! I love to meet bloggers that haven't been at this very long. It can be a bit intimidating sometimes to follow and comment on a site that has 100, 300, or 700 followers.
My Mom is also a twin, you can find them anywhere! Have a great day and enjoy the rest of the party.

Hi Geralyn,
Great post! You made me giggle to myself with your telling of your conversation with your husband about starting your blog. I still remember the night I asked my husband over two years ago "what is a blog"? Who would've known! Glad to have found you. Happy weekend!
