Never Forget

Memorial Day at the Jersey Shore is always memorable.  It always includes flags, parade and tourists (or Bennies as we call them)
This is the one of the last of my son's parades.  We didn't miss many.  It was always a pleasure
to watch  and I feel so proud.

This parade is one of my favorites.  It runs the legnth of a town called Bradley Beach and it has a flea market on the beach.  As you can see it was a beautiful day.
A perfect day for a Jersey girl like me......it started with a pork roll sandwich by the beach with a bright sun and a light breeze.  But, most of all it was a day to take some time to never forget.  A day to remember all who have served this great country.

These photos are beautiful. I love parades, but I haven't been to one in too long. Thanks for taking me along. What's a pork sandwich? My Grandfather and his brother were Marines who fought together on Saipan during WWII. My Daughter-in-Law is deployed to Iraq right now so I think it is wonderful that you wrote this special post to honor all of the men and women who have served our country and those who have given their lives for our freedom. Happy Memoiral Day!
