Swaps and Shops

I had to do this swap from a swap for all seasons......I was just looking at my collection of cabinet cards and thinking what am I going to do with these????  And when I saw this.....I just had to sign up.  We are busy at Princeton Paper Source.......I think of last Christmas....how I posted everyday and made an album for the 24 days of Christmas.....I was able to read a lot of blogs especially enjoying Tim Holtz and Ali Edward's blogs........I am thankful for that time.   But, this year is flying by, I am working long days and coming home wiped out.....but, I decided it was time for a good swap and it sure was.  My swap partner was Michele Gibson.
This is what Michele sent me....the banner says humbug if you can't read it.  I love it and can't wait to hang it up.  I don't want to show what I made yet, because I was a little late getting it in the mail and I still want it to be a surprise.  I am so glad I participated it has been fun getting such great packages in the mail when I get home from work.
A couple of Friday's ago I went to my friend Zandra's house for a Memory Works party.  The representative was Patty Behran and she taught us how to make these flowers and a distressing technique for the tag.....she is also lucky enough to work for Ranger Inks (Tim Holtz distress inks and many other great products like Stickles).

I did buy a new album, some vintage paper by Bo Bunny and some great stamps by 7 Gypsies.
A couple of Mondays ago I was visited at Princeton Paper Source by Kathe and Joanna a mother daughter team who own this store Summerhouse.
This was the view when you walked in the door.  It was hard not to buy anything......so I did buy some things.  The paper chains were made with dictionary pages......I just loved everything!
The window was a winter wonderland.......
I was able to buy a couple of things that Kecia of Lemoncoly's made.  Kecia was there for the open house but with work I wasn't able to see her.  I was glad there were some goodies left to choose from......I love the shoe and when I turned it over to see she made it.........no doubt there....sold!
I couldn't leave without greeting stamps or a tin or look at the necklace.  Joanna makes these....I love this and couldn't resist it!!!!!!  So, my next post will be what I made and sent out for the cabinet card swap.....oh and hopefully some pictures of Ian's band playing at the Christmas Market at City Hall in Philadelphia....one more day......CAn't WAit!!!!!!!!

Oh that is a darling swap! You have to show me how to alter a cabinet card. I cannot (for the life of me) use the ones I have for altered art! I'm soooo scared to mess them up. I know, it's part of this stupid hang up I have but you make it look sooooo easy and soooo pretty!!!!
As for the little shop...I could have gone crazy in there. Thank you for taking me along...it didn't cost me anything! ;)
I'm glad you get to go watch Ian this weekend...enjoy and tell us all about it!!!! You have got to be the proudest Mother on earth!!! :)
