Time Flies

Working......working......and fitting in some fun. I  got together with good friends and visited the Asbury Park boardwalk.  The city of Asbury Park is in a renaissance.  This is a glass blowing studio called Hot Sands on the boardwalk.....it is right next to a ceramic studio.  Both, have a lot of cool demonstrations and workshops.  I love this picture......in the backround is Madam Maries fortune teller (made famous by Bruce Springsteen songs)....she did pass away last year....but her legend lives on.  But, what I like is all the people on the boardwalk to the left.  The song The Rising was really written for Asbury Park............I have so much hope for this city by the sea.  Each time I visit I feel the faith and hope that these new ventures will be around for a long time.

Geralyn -

I forgot you too were from NJ! I know Asbury Park. There are too many historic towns in NJ that suffered decline and I'm happy that many are making a come back. Great post. Thank you for sharing.

Geralyn,

I spent much time in Ocean Grove in the summer so Asbury Park is very familiar. Laura was filling me in on your adventure. Love the picture.

I love to see these neighborhoods and areas being restored bit by bit. It would be a shame to loses many of them.

Hi Geralyn,
So happy to see this post, my son is in Asbury Park as I write this, seeing a friend's band play. They really are making strides in the right direction and it's wonderful to see it now and dream of a bright future. One of our favorite restaurants is there too!
enJOY,
Kimberly
