Public Art of Asbury Park

After yet another devastating storm to hit New Jersey......I am happy to report my family and our home are safe and sound.  I won't know about the store until I get there tomorrow.  I have decided not to share any pictures of the devastation of this latest storm.  It is a huge heart break and blow to the state of New Jersey.  I am getting to the point where it just hurts too much.  I just got back on facebook and shared some images and a beautiful poem someone wrote already.  But, what I have decided to do for the next few weeks on my blog is to share some of the public art of Asbury Park.  Some of it has only been available to see for a year......some lasted only a few weeks....some say the Artist......some are actually graffiti with strong messages and some are the beautiful architecture.  But, anyway my point is to share these images........with no words.  These images can be seen here on a computer.....but, may or may not be still seen in Asbury Park. It is my tribute to an ever changing landscape.  This is for you to see, but realize the power of black paint, wind, rain, etc. may make these images vanish forever.  But, if you take a picture of it the image can last forever.  I want these images to be what you remember........not the devastation our beautiful state of New Jersey endured.

I'm thinking of you all. ♥ Am so sorry this happened. :( We were just there along the beautiful Jersey Shore in June and I just can't believe this happened.

Thank you for sharing the artwork with us. I hope you find comfort in the fact that so many are holding you close in prayer.

Definitely.......thank you always for your concern and prayers Linda! Jersey will be back.....we'll always have our memories and we will build new ones with our new shoreline! Just keep all the families in your prayers who have lost so much......we, thankfully are one of the lucky ones.

Lovely idea Geralyn. So sad to see all that has been lost and praying for everyone affected by the storm. Concentrating on beauty rather than loss is a great step toward rebuilding.
Take care of yourself. Hugs, Pam
